A life without purpose, no love and no gain
but to raise himself up he'll barter our pain
his life isn't happy, he resents that in others
so he sows his dissention among all his brothers.

No doubt he likes it, he finds that it's fun,
so he can't give up til he feels that he's won.
He covets and envies, his motives are petty
the resentment he feels, now focused on Betty

What's in his heart? What makes the man tick?
The answer is simple but not one he'd pick.
He feels that he's smarter and far more deserving
but his ego is blind to a soul that's self serving.
