PostSubject: Democratic Dynamite   Wed Apr 02, 2008 7:04 pm

The party is tearing itself apart as HILBILL battle to regain control of the white house against the clearly preferred candidate. Obama is trying to be patient but the longer this goes on the more likely we are handing the election back to the repugs. on a soapbox

I try not to be insulting and demeaning to Democrats because I think most of them are good people who mean well, but are misguided.

With that in mind, what do you mean by "repugs"???

Face it folks. This is the most different primary season we have ever confronted.

Let's wait and see?

PostSubject: Candidate Clinton to Richardson: \'Barack Obama Can\'t Win\'   Wed Apr 02, 2008 7:56 pm

As a Republican, I am pleased with this tidbit, because Hillary is saying that Obama can't beat McCain, but SHE can't beat Obama! Just like Algore in 2000, Democrats are snatching defeat from the jaws of certain victory!

April 02, 2008 7:39 PM

ABC News' George Stephanopoulos Reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., and former President Bill Clinton are making very direct arguments to Democratic superdelegates, starkly insisting Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., cannot win a general election against presumptive Republican nominee, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

Sources with direct knowledge of the conversation between Sen. Clinton and Gov. Bill Richardson, D-N.M., prior to the Governor's endorsement of Obama say she told him flatly, "He cannot win, Bill. He cannot win."

And exactly WHO are the people you are saying are described by these bigoted definitions? All persons who are registered Republicans?

Rape, eh? Pretty strong language there. Are you saying that all Republicans are rapists?

In the right circumstance **unhindered and unregulated** they are exactly that. Just look at the economy. We are in debt to the Chinese. They won't need to attack us. They can simply foreclose on us.

I'm not sure how I can have a productive conversation with someone who apparently assumes that all persons who belong to a certain political party are all alike.

PostSubject: a dilema   Wed Apr 02, 2008 8:17 pm

The problem is that the rank and file refuse to see that there is a **core** in that party that is totally dedicated to making as much money as possible. They are greedy and don't give a damn for the alleged values of the party_simply their own values_ and those are to manipulate the world in an effort to increase the wealth that is localized in a few multinational corporations.

Please define "greedy." Your definition doesn't happen to mean "wanting more wealth than Nitro deems proper", does it?

PostSubject: How much is TOO much?   Wed Apr 02, 2008 8:31 pm

Just how much wealth does anyone need??
Seems to me that most of the world thinks that there is a point when wealth becomes obscene.

But who gets to decide where that point is? You?

Eric, the tangentially-responsive question is NOT the Socratic method. Instead of that, discussion might be better served were you to actually respond to the assertions made by Nitro -- even with contradictory assertions. At least then, you two could struggle over something, rather than fire warning shots past each other's sterns.

Poor Nitro's doing the best he can, putting all those positions out there. . . and all you're doing is picking at hangnails.
