Employers often promote people based on their work history in
lieu of the more specific qualifications set for a new hire. That wasn’t a strong
argument. Nor do employers normally fire an employee without a record of oral and
written warnings to support their action, especially those wishing to avoid
paying unemployment. Complaints about
any employee must be taken seriously, but you aren’t petitioning them to
investigate the complaints you’re petitioning them to remove an employee based on personal pique. Don’t expect the city to do that without a closer look or the rest
of us not to chuckle.
