| It is almost a painful choice to decided who to vote for. I'm not thrilled with any of the candidates for mayor. Can we declare a misdeal? |

| The smart candidates aren't going to replace any of the current staff. A few of the candidates might have discussed it but they're not stupid. This staff made Oertle look good. The council won't want changes, not when they're losing Oertle. Think about it. |

| You say the council won't want to make staff changes "not when they're losing Oertle." What's the tie there? Maybe you have several thoughts going on there. |

| The tie is they liked the way Oertle ran things. Council will fight major changes and the people will not want the disorganized mess that city hall use to be. I hear a few of the candidates have picked up on that. |

| Now the blighted cronies on the other forum are bashing Porter for not doing things that he alone had no ability to do. They just never quit.
What is their problem? They've griped about parking, the vehicle purchase, zoning changes, street repairs, and salaries. They regularly parade a host of personal hatreds for everyone from clerks to mayors and they've done it for years. They're malignant and incapable of being a positive influence on their enviornment because they have no real motivation beyond an internal hatred for the whole world. It wouldn't matter who was in office these losers would find something to criticize because it's what they do. Pathetic. |

Again with the Chicken Little cries of corruption. It never ceases to amaze me at how people want to criminalize policy differences.

Indeed it is pathetic. Look at how quickly they attacked Ken Budge & Boyd Nicholl!

| The Lead is still held by Porter but the 2nd and 3rd place positions have switched. Word is quickly spreading that Lindstrom is dropping in popularity. The reason is simple and the candidate has no one to blame but herself. She misrepresented her past to her friends and left her supporters in the unenviable position of trying to defend her. No legitimate candidacy can be raised when her background is far more serious than people were led to believe. The clean background of Jack Whetson has led those who might have supported Lindstrom into switching sides to support a candidate that doesn't stress even their credulity.
Unfortunately Whetstone (or is it Whetson?) has also shown a lack of good sense. His use of a campaign poster depicting himself as an elderly firefighter in front of a burning Bisbee only leaves the voter wondering if he was insensitive to the terror many residents faced just a few months ago or if he has a weird sense of humor. In either event it is an image that leaves the voter scratching their heads.
Most residents are leery of change especially that offered by the camp of critics now publicly split and fighting among themselves. Public desire for stability will result in support for Porter if for no other reason than to keep chaos from returning to city government. The image of the Bisbee crackpots scrambling to raise support for Whetson does not fill voters with confidence. Whetson has no public persona of his own and that means he will be evaluated upon the reputations and public image of those vocally supporting his candidacy. Harris may see himself in the role of king maker but given his propensity to play loose with the rules it isn't a role that the majority feel comfortable with. I wonder if the outcome of his campaign against the ever popular Giacomino will finally dispel his delusion that his past election loss was only a sympathy vote or if he will perhaps realize that his extreme views on local politics with its often paranoid allegations of corruption has abandoned common sense. |

| "Bisbee's On Fire for Jack Whetstone" ?
That ad in the Observer showing a working Jack Whetstone in front of a raging wildfire reminded me of something Lee Spinks would think up. |

| Hey Bud, don't try to imply that the local firefighters endorsed or paid for that campaign poster. That's a bunch of bogus crap. Support by civil service workers is illegal and you're gonna get your butt sued by that implication. |

It was paid for by Wildland Firefighters for Jack Whetstone. Try checking things out before you open that nozzle of yours. |

| Yeah, and who are the Wildlands Firefighters suppose to be? Looks like something that was made up for this poster. Your hint is a lie and you damn well know it. |

They're an elite group of firefighters who go all over the state. They were in Bisbee for our Moon Canyon fire. If you wanna see something sinister about this go ahead, nozzle. |

| Yep, I'm quite aware of the groups involved in fighting the fire. Wildland firefighting is the term used for the type of training. All of the groups are agency connected and I know them all. I want to know which county and unit you claim they were with. You're skating on thin ice. Dipwad. |

| You're not the sharpest tool in the shed, are you? Do a a little research into Jack's past and you'll see the connection. You're a nozzle indeed. |

| Answer the question Dipwad. What's the unit this candidate is implying participated in the fighting of the Moon fire and are supporting him? |
