| I see some news outlets are reporting that Obama is ahead in delegates.
I have mixed feelings about this.
On the one hand, I'm relieved to see (now rather than later,) that Ms. Bill Clinton's prospects for becoming President are vanishing.
On the OTHER hand, Obama will be a candidate much more difficult to beat in the general election.

| Looks like Obama is losing his lead in the polls. Is it because of his connection to Rev. Wright? Why is McCain also being discussed for his connection to Rev. Hagee. What is wrong with this picture and why is it that a presidential candidate can't have whomever they want for a religious leader? Has Religion become the target OR has religion morphed into something that has little relationship to faith in a higher being? Is this about Religious Freedom or an indictment of the type of rhetoric people are attempting to connect to a belief in God? |

| Or is it simply an easy and sneaky way of getting racism to the forefront? There's almost no history of staid Black preachers, and Wright seems tailor-made to frighten the rednecks. Ssome of what he has said scares me -- but I don't believe that Obama is the typical kool-aid customer. Nonetheless, guilt-by-association is a traditional smear tactic, and there is still a lot of racism in the American polity, whether it's admitted or not. Then too, there's the reasonable scenario that republicans are beginning to feel that Clinton is the easier candidate to beat in a general election. | |

| Interesting that the targets are Hillary's opponents? Coincidence?? I wonder. |

| Most of the time it is the wife who chooses the church. It actually makes more sense that Wright's opinions reflect her feelings far more than his. |

| I think the nomination is in the bag for Obama. Clinton's only hope would be the Super-Delegates, but they wouldn't dare vote for her and tip the nomination now that the popular vote is in Obama's hands: they have to go back and get re-elected at some point and there's no way they're going to create a primary challenge for themselves by being perceived to be going against the majority will, particularly in a party as badly burned by the 2000 Election as the Democrats were. | |

| I haven't felt so hopeful about the prospects for the Republican candidate holding on to the White House in nearly 2 years.
This fighting between Clinton and Obama will not strengthen the eventual nominee, but instead leave the nominee far too weak to beat John McCain.
Add to that the recent polls showing that a large percentage of Obama's and Clintons's supporters would vote for McCain - or simply not vote at all - rather than vote for the other candidate, and we have a setup for a potential Republican landslide win.
I doubt that this bothers The Clintons, because Hillary thinks that if SHE can't be elected president in 2008, then NO ONE else (from her party) will be, either.

| CNN is reporting today that Gore may be the savior for all us confused democrats... he is being touted as the alternative in a deadlocked convention. How do we manage to go from a woman and a black to another white male as a savior? Seems a little convenient doesn't it? |

| Looks like the party is fighing over Hillary quiting. They would like for her to quit so Obama can smooth the ruffled feathers in the party. The question is, can anything smooth those ruffled feathers? A good 20% of the party refuse to vote for Obama. |
