| Who defines Bisbee? Bisbee is defined by retired couples who have lived here most of their lives, workers in the post office, stores, galleries, shops, schools , police and fire departments, insurance agencies, real estate offices and city hall. Bisbee is defined by gardeners, florists, hotel owners, and artisans. Bisbee is defined by people with hearts and minds that demonstrate their emotions at street corner vigils, organizing stair climbs and cake auctions. Bisbee is defined by the Rotary, and civic clubs, by school organizations and cookies sales. It is defined by gas station owners, new comers, bar owners, waitresses, musicians, home makers, and all the people that work hard every day and never complain. They live in Tin Town, and Warren, Old Bisbee and San Jose.
Bisbee isn't defined by societies misfits or by a few posters on a forum or by people who disrupt political gatherings and public discussions simply for attention or because their mental calendar still reads 1969; instead it is defined by thousands of strong, hard working, and committed people whose quiet contributions over the years have created the Bisbee of today; and will continue to create the Bisbee of the future. |
